Mirsaale is one of the outsdiers in this year's Epsom Derby on Saturday 1st June. The colt is by Sir Percy who won the 2006 Derby and he is trained by James Tate. The winner of the Derby Trial here at Epsom over a mile and a quarter in April, Neil Callan will once again be in the plate.
Mirsaale has two wins from his five starts. The first came in a Maiden at Brighton over seven furlongs on good to firm ground last August. He followed that run up with a third place in a Listed contest at Haydcok over a mile won by Havana Gold, but was easily beaten a month later in October when finishing 7th in the Tatteralls Millions 2-Y-O Trophy. He arrives here fresh from a win at Epsom over a mile and a quarter in the Derby Trial and he should stay an extra two furlongs given he's half brother to Oaks runner up Meeznah. He's a big price for the Derby however and it's questionable whether he's good enough.

VERDICT: Outsider but does have winning course form and should stay the mile and a half. However, has over 30lbs to make up on the favourite and looks out of his depth.
