Rogue Runner Betting
Rogue Runner is one of the outsiders for the 2015 Investect Derby and the Andreas Wohler-trained raider could add some European spice to the Group 1 Classic at Epsom Downs, as the German raider aims to sparkle in what is one of the highlights of the Flat calendar on June 6.
- 3rd May 2015 - Frankfurt - Albert Von Jetzler-Rennen - 1m 2f - 5th
- 5th April 2015 - Hoppegarten - Heinz Jentzsch Erinnerungsrennen - 1m 1f - 1st
Andreas Wohler could saddle the Qatar Racing-owned Rogue Runner in the Investec Derby, but he will be the second string for that ownership as they are set to unleash the classy Elm Park in the Classic race, which is shaping into a wide open affair at Epsom Downs.
It's tough to relate his form to some of the elite home talents, but he was a winner at Hoppegarten two starts ago over 1m 1f, but he was unable to follow that up next time out over 1m 2f at Frankfurt on May 3, where he could only finish fifth in the contest just over a month ago.
He is one of the big priced runners for the Epsom Derby and on form he deserves to be at huge odds, but being a son of King's Best he could relish the trip of the Classic and may produce a career best at the idiosyncratic venue.

VERDICT: Rogue Runner will be Qatar Racing's second string in the Investec Derby and he looks to have it all to do in the Epsom Classic and should struggle to be a key figure at the finish.
