Snow Sky Betting
A contender for the 2014 Epsom Derby on Saturday 7th June is trainer Sir Michael Stoute's Snow Sky. The Nayef colt rose to prominence when winning the Lingfield Derby trial and owner, Prince Khalid Abdullah, has indicated that he will be given the chance to hand Stoute a sixth Derby winner.
Stoute last won the Derby with Workforce in 2010 but Snow Sky appears to be a genuine contender. The 3-year-old impressed as a juvenile last season as he got off the mark at the third time of asking in a Salisbury maiden on heavy ground in October. Connections showed how highly they rate Snow Sky when sending him to Doncaster for the Group One Racing Post Trophy a few weeks later but that run may have come a little too soon and he was back to his best on his seasonal reappearance as he won the Derby Trial at Lingfield by two lengths.
- 10th May 2014 - Lingfield - 1st: Derby Trial Stakes (Listed)

VERDICT: The Lingfield Derby Trial winner could improve for a step up in trip and looks worthy of each-way attention at Epsom.
