Success Days

Success Days Betting

Success Days has launched into the Epsom Derby picture following a brace of impressive victories in the Ballysax Stakes and the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial, and the Ken Condon-trained star will now try to land a blow in the 1m 4f Classic on June 6 and bag the prize for Ireland once again.

Season Form:

  • 10th May 2015 - Leopardstown - Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial (Group 3) - 1m 2f - 1st
  • 12th April 2015 - Leopardstown - Ballysax Stakes (Group 3) - 1m 2f - 1st
  • 4th April 2015 - Cork - Rated Race - 1m - 1st

Ken Condon's Success Days had not shown too much quality as a juvenile, with one victory in three races as a juvenile not highlighing him as an Investec Derby contender, but as a three-year-old the son of Jeremy has blossomed with aplomb and will now aim to land one of Flat racing's biggest prizes on June 6.

He kicked off his camapign with a victory over one mile at Cork, before he caused a major shock when downing the highly acclaimed Aidan O'Brien-trained John F Kennedy in the Group 3 Ballysax Stakes at Leopardstown in what were heavy conditions at the Emerald Isle venue.

Enhancing his reputation even more in his last start in mid-May Success Days landed the Derrinstown Stud Derby Trial on his return to Leopardstown, and down the years that has been regarded as one of the elite trials for the Derby and has produced a host of major players in the Epsom Classic.

VERDICT: Success Days is entitled to take his chance in the Derby and has improved immeasurably as a three-year-old, but all his best form has come on rain-softened ground, so if the weather warms up at Epsom then he could struggle to produce his best on the big day.

Bet on Success Days for the 2015 Epsom Derby.
